Khao Phing Kan is a striking island located in Phang Nga Bay, northeast of Phuket. Famous for its dramatic limestone cliffs and lush tropical backdrop, it has become a must-visit destination for travelers seeking Thailand’s natural beauty.

Just 40 meters off Khao Phing Kan’s shore rises Ko Ta Pu (also known as Ko Tapu), a slender limestone pinnacle that towers 20 meters high above the water. This iconic islet shot to international fame as “James Bond Island” after appearing in the 1974 film The Man with the Golden Gun.

Together, these formations are part of the protected Ao Phang Nga National Park, an area known for its spectacular karst landscapes, tranquil lagoons, and unique marine ecosystems.
